Jan Huybersplein
History
Jan Huybersplein has been worked intensively for more than 2 years, down to the smallest details! The plans have been extensively discussed and prepared by Cees van Dashorst (Professor Das) and Jan Huybers. The square is a tribute to Jan Huybers, the founder of Avonturia, who sadly passed away in November 2016. Unfortunately, Jan was unable to witness the construction and opening of his own project, which is why the square is named after him.
What is there to see?
There is plenty to discover and experience in the square… The most unique are the many detailed shops, such as a “Beetles & Butterfly's”, a Fish-Dentist (for Sharks and Piranhas), a clock shop Father Time and much more nice shops. A real train station has even been built where children can climb through and over everything and view the square from above.
