Why enrichment?
If we look at nature, an animal is kept busy all day long. Think of looking for food, seeking hiding places or interacting with other species. They naturally already have this intelligence and skills. An animal will not be happy if they can no longer use these skills. Sitting in an enclosure all day without a challenge is nothing for an animal. Without enrichment, they will become bored and perhaps do some bad things. So you can never start too early with adding enrichment to the enclosure and challenging your pet.
There are several types of enrichment, such as food, furnishing or social enrichment. Every animal species needs these enrichments. So also make sure you like everything that offers and keep it interesting.
Nutritional enrichment
