Back Zoo Nature
Back zoo nature is a brand that uses products to bring your pet closer to the natural environment and stimulates the animal's natural behavior. This brand is so diverse that they offer products for almost every animal. Think of lianas, toys, (supplementary) food, lighting as well as ground cover. We will discuss the latter in detail in this blog.
Why ground cover?
Ground cover may not sound like an exciting and challenging factor within an animal's stay, but nothing could be further from the truth. It all starts with the bottom. Back Zoo Nature's bedding is 100% natural and biodegradable. The Discovery Bedding can be used as a good basis, but to add enrichment Back Zoo Nature offers various products, for example the Discovery Leaves of Forest Moss which goes well with the Discovery Bedding.
Something for every animal
Back Zoo Nature focuses on the natural habitat of, among others;
This extensive range is also for sale in the departments of Avonturia† If you want advice or have questions, these can also be asked at the relevant department.
Why enrichment?
If we look at nature, an animal is kept busy all day long. Think of looking for food, seeking hiding places or interacting with other species. They naturally already have this intelligence and skills. An animal will not be happy if they can no longer use these skills. Sitting in an enclosure all day without a challenge is nothing for an animal. Without enrichment, they will become bored and perhaps do some bad things. So you can never start too early with adding enrichment to the enclosure and challenging your pet.
There are several types of enrichment, such as food, furnishing or social enrichment. Every animal species needs these enrichments. So also make sure you like everything that offers and keep it interesting.
Nutritional enrichment
Think millet for birds or a feeding ball with hay for rodents. So it can be very simple. But Back Zoo Nature also offers other types of food enrichment. Think of a DIY package of Willow Twigs that you can use.
Interior nursery
Climbing branches, shelter arches or a java tree for birds. If it occupies an animal it falls under enrichment. So look at your enclosure and ask yourself if your pet can have the right amount of exercise and is challenging enough. If you have any doubts, you can contact us for the right advice about accommodation and the layout thereof.
Social enrichment
Paper in all shapes, you make your rodent happy with it, but also certainly your bird! This has also been thought of at Back Zoo Nature. Toys enough with paper, crinkle paper, wood and corky pieces to demolish. All this in nice colors or shapes so that the eye also has something.
