You lose a ring from Avonturia with a lot of sentimental value in the sea of Monster and then….? When our daddy was still alive, the three of us got all 3 a " Avonturia-ring” of our women. A symbolic commitment not only family but also business.
Now I knew that bird watchers are in contact with each other when a special bird is spotted, but not that there are also volunteers ready to look for a precious ring with the right equipment in this case. A deep bow to these people who are committed in this way!

“A precious ring has been lost on the beach in Monster.
Soon a team is assembled from Found-Verloren consisting of The Hague (Constant), Zoetermeer (Ed) and Spijkenisse (Laurens, Patrick and Stephan). Ed is at that moment with his truck in Rotterdam and is picked up by team Spijkenisse.
Monster, beware.
Everyone will be in Monster at 20:30 PM on August 15th. Donald (the owner of the ring) is already waiting for us. From the parking lot to the beach is a brisk walk. Once we arrive we are welcomed by Patricia, Donald's wife. Plan of action depends on the situation at the time. A short briefing follows showing that the ring was lost in shallow water while swimming the day before. The water was going down, so there was hope that the ring would have to be 'dry' at some point.
A wet or a dry one?
Two men went to search in the surf and three men went to search the area that had now dried up. After half an hour and a number of negligible incidental finds, such as beer caps, pull tabs, etc. Laurens gets a very clear signal on the boundary of the dry and wet search area. The wading shovel goes into the ground and there is the ring!
We are all very happy that this very precious ring is back with its owner, after all that is what we all do it for and what our shared passion is! “
