It is with great joy that we share with you the latest Spiny-Tailed Monitor Baby News Reptile world want to share! On April 14, 2023, our female Spiny Tail Monitor laid eggs. And yesterday already 3 eggs hatched. As if that weren't enough, the fourth egg is on its way to join its siblings.
The birth of these newborn spiny-tailed monitor lizards is a special event and we are therefore very proud. These adorable newborn spiny-tailed monitor lizards will be cared for with love and care by our dedicated reptile experts for the foreseeable future.
The Spiny-tailed Monitor
Spiny-tailed monitors also known as the Varanus acanthurus belong to the Varanidae family and are beautiful and fascinating reptiles.
They are known for their beautiful scale pattern and characteristic spiky tail, which they proudly wear as a symbol of their unique identity.
They are native to the warmer regions of Australia and some surrounding areas. There they mainly live in dry and rocky habitats.
This reptiles are highly skilled at climbing and can scale vertical surfaces with ease using their powerful claws.
