ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATION
As soon as you pass through the barrier at our Basecamp, you have arrived in the wonderful world of Mappa Mundia. This is the world of Zoo, Fun & Expo where fantasy and reality go hand in hand. As one of the first parts you will encounter the archaeological excavations. When Avonturia was built in 2009 in The Hague, archaeological discoveries were made here, including dinosaur skeletons of a T-Rex and a Triceratops!
WHAT CAN I FIND?
At the excavation you can see what the archaeologists have found. Children can help the archaeologists with the archaeological excavation, in the sand they can search for stones and shells. You can of course take these items home with you (max. 2 items per child).
After you have helped with the archaeological dig and you have an adventurous find in your pocket, you can continue with your expedition. In the archaeologist's house you can find extra information and found objects!
As you continue your expedition, don't forget to keep your map handy, otherwise you may get lost and miss out on fun, beautiful things in the wonderful world of Mappa Mundia! During the excavation, a very large and special cave system was also discovered…
